NATES CERAMICS PORTFOLIO
This is a fun little bowl I made that I really enjoy. It has a very functional size and a pretty sleek foot too. The glaze came out bubbly and weird but hoping those bubbles when it came out of the kiln was worth its add texture. Its thrown with low fire white clay and glazed with Teal Blue.
This is a wavy pot I made. I threw a cylinder than decided to give it some flare. I did end up trimming through the bottom but no big deal because it works great as a pot. Its thrown with low fire white clay and glazed with Teal Blue
This vase or vessel is the first time I closed something. its pretty simple but the trim job defenently gave it character and I'm happy with what it is. I got to test a new technique and glaze with this piece which helped me create other much better pieces. its thrown with low fire white clay and glazed with Deep Water.
This bowl might be my favorite one that I've made. its a great shape and has a simple foot. most of the feet that I put on my bowls now are based on this one if I'm just trying to make something stable. the inside is nothing spiceal so I didn't add a picture but insted a picot of the shape I gave it bceuase I think that's better looking. Its thrown with low fire white and glazed with Deep Sea.
